Ok, no matter how I phrase this I'm going to sound pretentious, snobbish or lame, whatever.. it has to be said: I have traveled to a lot of places and seen some incredible sights. That being said, Gozo may be one of the most serene and beautiful places I've ever seen (or will ever see). Three weeks ago I had never heard of Malta (or Gozo for that matter) and might have...possssssibly.. guessed it was near the Mediterranean .. maybe. Thanks to VRX Studios and their project with the Kempinski San Lawrenz on Gozo, I was brought over to photograph a beautiful hotel filled with fun and kind people. There I worked with a kick-ass stylist, Roma, and made many great new friends from the hotel and island. Below are some photos from our adventures; the Azur window (shown above) is only 3/4 of a mile from the hotel. I shot it four times and could shoot it 300 more. I have two time-lapse shoots from it which I hope to share soon. The last photos are from the most incredible sunset I've ever seen, and hand to god, those colors are not enhanced. If anything they are toned down to not seem fake. Thank you to my new friends for the warmth and hospitality, you made a cool work trip into an unforgettable experience.
Gozo, Malta : Unbelievable.
